Feast of the Divine Mercy and How to Prepare for It

On the Sunday after Easter, the entire Church is called to gather throughout the world to celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday.
From St. Maria Faustina’s Diary it is clear that this Octave Day of Easter is a day chosen by Christ as a day of extraordinary graces — a complete outpouring of His mercy upon alI who approach Him with great trust and expectant Faith. To properly celebrate this great day, we need to prepare well.
Pope John Paul II canonized Sr. Faustina on Divine Mercy Sunday in 2000. He also established …

Diary #1028
March 21, 1937. Palm Sunday. During Mass, my soul steeped in the bitterness and suffering of Jesus. Jesus gave me to understand how much He had suffered in that triumphal procession. “Hossana” was reverberating in Jesus’ heart as an echo of “Crucify.” Jesus allowed me to feel this in a special way.

Hello BASIC, eveytime I see or smell spag, I would remember our 12 o’clock spaghetti. Infact, haponan ko ngayon spag, so I was eating with a smile.
Bytheway, I would like to share some thoughts about Lenten Celebration and the observance of Fasting and Abstinence. Lent starts with Ash Wednesday,(the first of forty-six days of Lenten Fast before Easter) On this day, all the Catholic faithful, according to ancient custom, approach the altar where the priest, dipping his thumb into previously blessed ashes, marks the forehead of …

“The worship given to the Trinity of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit… must fill our churches also outside the timetable of the Masses… This worship must be prominent in all our encounters with the Blessed Sacrament… Adoration of Christ in this sacrament of love must also find expression in varous forms of Eucharistic devotion: personal prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, hours of adoration, periods of exposition - short, prolonged, and annual (Forty Hours) - Eucharistic benediction, Eucharistic procession, Eucharistic Congresses… Let us be generous …

DIARY #699  : ABOUT THE FEAST OF THE DIVINE MERCY
My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.

Read PART 1
March 12, 2009, Thursday Morning:
I received an email invitation from Bro. Orly about Bro. Stanley Villavicencio ’s testimony for Monday, March 16. Right after reading his testimonials attached to the email, I was moved to send email to the prayer group to give flyers and invite people (attending Bro. Stanley’s testimony) for the St. Mark’s Divine Mercy and Holy Rosary Devotion, and at the same time distribute some pamphlets. After having thought of this, I saw a vision though I did not see people. I saw …

Read PART 2
Contributor:  Rosalyn Argonza
March 11, 2009, Wednesday Eve:
Sitting in the living room, I was prompted to open Marian.org to order pamphlets. I did not know why but I was restless and felt an urgency to do it. So I thought, yes I should order for the Divine Mercy and Holy Rosary Devotion on April 4, Saturday at St. Mark’s church for distribution to the attendees.
I searched for pamphlets and discerned each whether to get it or not.
As I was scanning the site, part of me experienced a sense of …

THE DIVINE MERCY MESSAGE
On February 22, 1931, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ appeared to this simple nun, Sister Faustina, bringing with Him a wonderful message of Mercy for all mankind. Sister Faustina tells us in her diary under this date:
“In the evening, when I was in my cell, I became aware of the Lord Jesus clothed in a white garment. One hand was raised in blessing, the other was touching the garment at the breast. From the opening of the garment at the breast there came forth two large …

Testimony of Stanley Villavicencio

Stanley’s words:
“Before I will give my testimony, I just want to inform you that after what happened to me, I was just going round giving my testimony in my own dialect. You see, the Philippines is composed of more than seven hundred islands and almost every island has different dialect. The Philippines is divided into three major parts; Luzon, Mindano and Visayas. I belong to Visayas because I am living in Cebu. So I was giving my testimony in Visayas only, until one time Father Seraphim Mekalanco, the Spiritual Director …

12 o’ Clock Spaghetti

It was Divine Mercy Friday night that coincided with our sister Tetet Dizon’s birthday. As friends from different communities as well as the Divine Mercy group gathered, we had our usual Friday night prayer session. The kids once again led the Rosary. The food was indeed festive with cripsy squid, baked fish, shrimp sinigang and let’s not forget, the 12 o’clock spaghetti. Why was it called the 12 o’clock spaghetti? Well, simply because everyone stayed and waited for midnight in order to taste Bro. Orly’s Jollibee-like spaghetti. We had to …
